Ponderosa Kennels, Pat Nolan

 Pat Nolan has been a professional dog trainer since 1975. He
 is currently training young dogs for a variety of retriever
 sports as well as companion animals, and is working with
 substance detector dogs.

 His background in canine education is diverse. He has trained
 for and titled dogs in the obedience ring and has successfully
 trained and handled protection and Schutzhund dogs. He has
 trained animals for television and movies and holds a master
 falconry permit.

 Pat brings his experience training other animals to his work
 with retrievers, setting up training situations so that the dog’s
natural talent is channeled for optimal learning and success.

Pat’s success in training and handling retrievers speaks for itself. He has personally
trained and/or handled more than eight dogs to their FC or AFC titles and has been
involved in the success of many more — earning field trial placements not only for
Labradors, but for Goldens and Flat-Coats as well. He has trained dogs that have
been finalists in both National Open and National Amateur field trial events and has
obtained more than 25 Master Hunter titles.
